About Us

The South East Councils Climate Change Alliance - SECCCA - is a network of 8 Councils in the south east making a regional response to climate change. We carry out projects in greenhouse gas abatement, in sequestration and in adaptation on behalf of our Council members.

We have been operating, in our previous identity as the Western Port Greenhouse Alliance and now as SECCCA, since 2004 and we are one of the network of alliances that involve nearly all of Victoria’s local governments.

We work through partnerships involving Councils, community, industry and state and national government. We look to involve as many groups within our communities as possible in responding to climate change. Our councils, through their representatives on the Management Committee direct the work of SECCCA staff.

We are an incorporated association (ABN 63 884 564 842) based in Narre Warren.
